Tajikistan is a land of sky-high peaks and ancient civilisations, where mountains cover more than ninety percent of the territory. It is here that the legendary Pamir Highway runs, one of the most breathtaking high-altitude roads in the world, which travellers call the Roof of the World. This is a destination for bold hearts in love with wild nature and true silence.

The capital, Dushanbe, surprises visitors with its green boulevards and one of the tallest flagpoles on the planet. Beyond the city lie the turquoise Iskanderkul lake, wreathed in legends of Alexander the Great, the famous Fann Mountains with their emerald lakes, and Pamiri villages where time seems to have stood still. Ancient Khujand preserves traces of the Great Silk Road era.

When to go and what to discover

The best time to travel is from June to September, when the mountain passes are open and the trekking routes are accessible. Guests are treated to fragrant pilaf, sweet fruit and the famed Tajik hospitality: here every traveller is welcomed as an honoured guest, invited to tea with mountain honey and flatbread.

Suzane Travel handles even the most demanding itinerary: we prepare Pamir expeditions, book guesthouses, provide reliable transport with experienced drivers and Russian-speaking guides. With us you will discover one of the most beautiful mountain countries in the world safely and in comfort.
